A Case Of Lone Star Kinky Friedman
Price $ 9.95
As far as kinky freidman goes, this is not a very good effort. That does not mean it is not a good novel, however. It
is tremendously funny, and just a tad sexy. If you are first getting started on kinky, then maybe you should start
with another one. This book is only for serious freidman fans only.

Greenwich Killing Time Kinky Friedman
Price $ 9.95
This was the first Kinky Friedman book I read, having known of him by reputation for many years. It lived up to all
I've heard of his books: fast-paced, quirky humor, a wild cast of characters, a touch hard-boiled. But Dashiel
Hammett he's not. As in many mystery novels, the writing in this book, although fun, breaks no new literary
ground and is typical for the genre. If you're looking for a good, easy read, you'll certanly enjoy this!

Roadkill Kinky Friedman
Price $ 13.56
Read the Kirkus Review for the story summary, so I'll cut to the chase here. Kinky tells a lot of road stories
about Willie Nelson, Tom T. Hall ("loved all his songs and both his melodies") and offers a ribald quote from Kris
Kristofferson about Farrah Fawcett-Majors that will make you spit milk through your nose. These stories make
"Roadkill" a far more entertaining book than "The Love Song of J. Edgar Hoover" in which he seemed to spend far
too much time talking about himself. Kinky is capable of spinning a mystery plot -- "A Case of Lone Star" is still his
best -- but "Roadkill" shows Kinky can be ribaldly funny, still capable of making the inner 13-year-old boy on some
of us laugh out loud.

Spanking Watson Kinky Friedman
Price $ 13.56
The same bizarre mixture of ingredients that has turned Kinky Friedman from a country musician into a popular
mystery writer and hero of his own series continues in this exercise oddity, which, true to form, seems to contain
something to offend virtually everyone. "If you spend a little time with lesbians and nuns, you begin to see the
effect love or the absence of it can have on a human life," muses the Kinkster at one point. This comes after a
campaign by Friedman to terrorize his upstairs neighbor, Winnie Katz, whose lesbian dance classes have caused the
ceiling of his Greenwich Village loft to collapse. But Kinky's amateur terrorism pales by comparison to the
mysterious person who wants to do some real damage to Winnie, so Friedman and his Village Irregulars turn from
aggressors to protectors. Surrounded by Italian gangsters with names like Linguini and Gepetto, they plan a weird
revenge scheme that involves such horrors as chainsaws and Friedman in a red wig.

The Love Song of J. Edgar Hoover Kinky Friedman
Price $ 9.56
Texas musician Friedman writes mysteries the way he sings -- lots of humming, head-scratching and general
fooling around. There are always plenty of cigars and an inevitable cat. But his loyal fans lap up his books and will
certainly welcome this newest addition. The Kinkster's boozy reporter (is there any another kind in mystery
fiction?) friend McGovern is being plagued by FBI agents disguised as aliens, so Friedman sets off on a journey of
discovery to Washington and Al Capone's old Chicago haunts.

The Mile High Club Kinky Friedman
Price $ 18.40
What do you call someone who refers to any given objet as a "dingus," takes calls on a "blower," takes a "Nixon"
rather than moving his bowels, and uses "ankles" as a verb? Try Kinky "Big Dick" Friedman, the fictional star of The
Mile High Club, 1999's Spanking Watson, and 11 earlier amateur detective novels by the real-life
musician-turned-novelist Kinky Friedman. As The Mile High Club opens, the Kinkster is holding forth with his
gorgeous Middle Eastern seatmate, Khadija, on a flight from Dallas to New York City. As the plane begins its
landing approach, Khadija rises to visit the loo, neither returning to her seat nor deplaning with the rest of the
passengers. And Kinky's left holding her bag.
